navigationWhat would you do if your GPS failed? Can you read marine charts and navigate your way home?

Ropes, Knots & Splicing

General Marine rescue activities require a limited knowledge of knots and these are restricted to the bowline , clove hitch sheet bend, round turn and two half hitches and the figure eight knots.

During the instruction we emphasise the importance of being able to tie the above knots in the dark and practice to achieve this level of competence is essential on an ongoing basis.
