The past twelve months have seen a number of changes take place in the Cadet Group.Festival 2013 109

A number of the older Cadets have moved on to either full time or part time employment and it is worth noting, that of the seniors that have gone into full time employment, one is employed on a local fishing vessel, one is undertaking Marine Studies at Fremantle Marine College, with a third youngest indicating that he intends joining the Royal Australian Navy, at a future date.

We would like to think that the training which has been provided to these youngsters whilst they were with us, has played a part in their decision making for their future career paths.

The main activities for the summer, culminated in a visit to the Mandurah Cadet Group, where we took our four 'Rubber Duckies' along and the Mandurah Group proceeded to take us on a comprehensive tour of the canal system around Mandurah.

Training is underway for the RST (Recreational Skippers Ticket), with the objective being to have the Cadets ready to take their test during the early part of 2015.
